Cosmetics Chemicals

Cosmetic basically refers to a preparation just like powder or a skin cream which is designed to beautify the body by direct application. In other words, cosmetic is something superficial that is used to cover a deficiency or defect. Cosmetics are manufactured using numerous types of herbs and chemicals. Cosmetics can easily be found at near medical store or departmental stores.

A large number of chemicals have been used in the manufacturing of cosmetics for long time. Some common chemicals that are used in the cosmetics are 1,4-dioxane, Cationic surfactants, Cyclomethicone, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol (Bronopol), Anionic Surfactants, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Alcohol, Isopropyl (SD-40), Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT), DMDM Hydantoin, Chloromethylisothiazolinone & Isothiazolinone and so on.
